But why not the numbers spiking earlier? The sales were relatively same to the same period last year, until Vista came out 6 months into the core 2 duo. I think it played a very large role. It's more than purdy too, please. Like all Windows OSes, it's a devs. dream and attracts windows devs worldwide to expand on the new platform, it's not just the aero graphics for cying out loud.

Let me just say, if you don't think the company that makes over 90% of the OSes in use today(not counting the illegal copies) is not going to have an impact on the market when they release a new OS, then you have your head firmly planted in the sand.

Ask yourself why google rushed a half baked enterprise suite to market just ahead of Vista and why there are companies lining up against Vista's power complaining to the EU and why Jobs suddenly turned into a trash talker.....desperation my friend...pure desperation.
