I own both
I guess I should document that I have 3 Macs, and about 11 PCs. 9 now, I sold two Windows Boxen. The Macs that I own are far older, yet still functional. In fact, I just bought more RAM for one of them. Pretty cheap too.

You think that I am a loyalist to Apple when you couldn't be farther from the truth. I just expect far more for an OS upgrade after waiting five years. I think Vista is a piss poor example of what the customers don't need.

Some ideas like UAC are nice, but so damned out-dated that I have to wonder what took them so long. Linux and Mac OS have had that feature since who knows when, and the best part about those features are... "THAT THEY AREN'T ANNOYING THE HELL OUT OF ME!!!"

They GUI needed an overhaul since Windows 2000. Windows XP tried to do it and failed miserably.

One of these days, we will get a good OS from Microsoft, until then, we will just get the one that everyone seems to use.
