You made a huge assumption here
That the Mac is better than the high end Dells and I certainly know you can't be sincere if you try to say better than fujitsu or exp. Toshiba. The Qosimo G35 has it all over the Mac in both quality and feature set and can now be had with core duo and it's amazing list of high end specs including HD, for under 2000.00. When vista came out the prices actually went down, at least at Toshiba.

There is a concensus of non-biased reviewers that put Vista ahead of the current Mac. Even Steve Jobs said last fall that Leopard would "leap frog" Vista and that can only mean one thing. So why pay for a Mac in which you are locked down for the life of the machine when you can get a better OS at a better price with better hardware, that's my question to you? Is it just that Apple loyalty kicking in at that point? By the time (by the end of 2007) that devs. get a wide array of Vista apps available, why stick with something that doesn't allow much more than what you get out of the box...a pretty face and some built in apps that aren't really compatible with much. You are going to have to buy Windows for your Mac anyway, so now is the time to make the switch and see what you are missing.
