- Could it be that iTunes is garbage?

Just installed this program, and already it's starting to piss me off:
1) Trys to set options I don't want (auto-run, iTunes/Quicktime default player)... repeatedly. Once, on install is maybe OK (there's an option to turn it off). But why AGAIN when I run the software?
2) Overwrites Quicktime options. I don't want, nor need, quicktime wasting my memory by staying resident in the system tray. Why did it go there after I explictly told it not to?
3)..
And here's the kicker
..
