I agree that the term 'village idiots' is simply not appropriate and indeed says something about the person using the derisive term. But in this case Donnie is merely pointing out a fact. The states (and foreign powers) are indeed intending to force Microsoft to the wall on this one and it very much looks like they are finding at least some degree of success. If they do succeed which is actually quite likely, you will probably be able to buy MS Office for close to 1/4th the price it now sells for because it is in fact ridiculously over priced. It is priced at a level that would simply never fly in a truly competitive marketplace. That is one reason why MS is the money factory it is. But all that is now changing. The marketplace is accomplishing what the DOJ failed to do and it is very likely that the DOJ will revisit the issue as well. Administrations change and American politics weaves from left to right and back again as the years pass. Some administrations like this one are very 'business friendly'. Others are not. Their time will come. But be that as it may, their current prices for their products are extremely unsustainable over the long term and that is a fact.
