Good advice

My advice to anyone considering Vista is to either stick with Windows 2000 or XP, or switch to an Apple Macintosh system.

I'm not a gamer so that's probably what I would do, if not for the need to support customer projects with Windows dev tools. Apple will be a much more satisfying experience for most users, albeit an expensive one, than Vista. Although with the Vista price tag MSFT has been kind enough to close the price gap a bit. OEM's may be able to sell Vista Home Crip for about the same price, but once you figure in the upgrade cost, it will be closer to Apple's price point.
