there should be small to few bumps at all, but then again, people would have to point to the product that had no launch issues to paint it completely bad. And some products (OSes) don't have to run on different mfr's rigs they run on their own embedded devices or their own managed brand of computers.
Hopefully people can still do the many things they do with the system, but maybe they'll have buyer remorse because they want to.
