You put a lot of effort into that, I suspect. For me, I have become jaded enough to summarily dismiss Microsoft without having to spend time and money researching their claims.

I dismissed their 'Get the facts' campaign as BS, I dismissed .NET, and I most certainly dismissed their proposed document format. And for Vista: Not even going to waste time evaluating it.

Thanks for taking the time to flesh out the details of their so-called open spec. You have strengthened my position to steer clear of all things Microsoft.

They are poor stewards of this industry and should be removed from the position of setting standards. They are better followers than leaders.
