Poeple know that each WalMart is only gonnna have about 10 units per store so they get in line. I didn't stay up till midnight to buy my copy of Vista because I know it will be there for me tomorrow when I get to CompUsa during regular business hours."

Mainly, most people who are going to buy Vista, know it will be there... there's no shortage, therefore no rush.
