We're security guards and physicians as well as janitors...
Your job as a member of the Geek Squad is to fix whatever Joe Average screws up.

My job is to keep the network running. If that takes banning dangerous software, that's part of my job. When I banned IE and Outlook in 1997, I got a lot of dumbass comments like yours. Until Melissa and the following flood of "active content" viruses hit, and our site was the only one in the entire company that didn't have a single virus panic in the five years that I was able to maintain that policy.

When they outsourced support and forced us all to use IE, we immediately had a flood of viruses from the rest of the company despite having gone through and made sure everyone was up to date on the approved corporate antivirus.

When your doctor tells you to lose weight, do you tell him to fix it and smile all the while?

Dumbass.
