That's what they said about XP
So why doesn't everyone just run Windows 2000?

I'm not convinced that Vista is an essential upgrade, but the truth is that for most people NO OS is an essential upgrade. They buy a new computer it comes with the most recent OS.

I'm tired of hearing that the OS isnt exciting. Folks, it's a *($**#% operating system. Only the geekiest of geeks gets excited by an OS.

When people say they're excited about a new OSX release, they're FOS. They're not excited about a new OS, theyre excited about soem new applet or other non-os function. Operating systems aren't exciting. They manage memory, read/write to/from your HD. THey have network stacks and all kinds of other stuff that the average person wouldn't get excited about, even if it was the most revolutionary thing to ever happen in computer science.
