What handout?

Exactly what is being handed out to him? Phone service? The average phone bill currently has 22% taxes added on. Those taxes are doing nothing to get phone access to the poor. Part of the tax is the "internet tax" to provide computers to poor school systems. BS. What is the federal government doing in the education business anyway? They spent $34,000,000,000 on education last year and look at the state of public schools. The decent public schools are in neighborhoods where the property owners are already being taxed to death. 1100 square foot home in the northwest suburbs of Chicago pays almost $4000.00 in property tax. That's almost $4.00 a square foot. $250.00 a month is not a tax, it is rent. Problem is, the government doesn't own it so why are people paying rent on their own property. Tax is being wasted on such a massive scale that the overbloated government is never going to get out of the pockets of the workers. If the Department of Education was abolished and the money given directly to the states to fund schools, it would be a more efficient use of the money!!! We don't need any new taxes on anything. We need to downsize the government just like corporations are doing. Cut out about 50% of the useless personnel in the operation and we'd have enough with the taxes already being collected.
