US Vista Starter Edition
Microsoft should release a low cost reduced capacity edition in the USA and Europe targeted for those people that are using older and slower computers incapable of running the announced editions. A lot of older and slower equipment is donated by those that are upgrading themselves. Such donated equipment goes to those who otherwise would have no access to computers.

The installation of a new limited OS would eliminate problems with the old original OS containing any malware that might get released back into the general internet population.

It could remove any old data files that might contain sensitive information belonging to the original owner.

It sould remove all unneeded programs and return the computer to an as new state. At the same time it would introduce the supposedly advantageous parts of the new Vista OS's like it's security and atability.

This would accomplish many things, encouraging new users, improving Microsoft's image. If priced very low or free I would install it on all equipment I was disposing of as a safety measure.
