He works at MS. How could he possibly mean it. Only those at Apple or Google or any OSS community could rescind remarks and be sincere. What insight! But you post this ancient reference on a story about Vista and it's dev. community. Your intent was once again pure i can only imagine, right? To be sure any current MS devs with any reservations, knew the "truth" (albeit one isolated 10 year old comment) about what bastards they are at MS. You've done well for the cause of truth and justice and the world owes you a debt of gratitude.


Finally, since you insinuated my naivety over my comments, where are other occurances or proof this was corporate thinking at that time 10 years ago(and certainly today as well, or you would not have posted)? Did your Googling only unearth that false apology? Surely you can do better to uphold the integrity and relevance of your post my dear little naive one.
