Entirely meaningless BS
"These were isolated, inappropriate comments made more than a decade ago and not a statement of Microsoft's policy at any time," said Jack Evans, a Microsoft spokesman. "The reality is that what's made Microsoft successful is that we provide an environment where ISVs can be very successful by supporting and taking advantage of the technology we expose in Windows."

One person. I am MS dev. They've given to me everything I need every step of the way and have gone out of their way to accomodate requests. In fact i was given partner level access when i was not a partner, just taking my word that i needed access. To frame MS position on developers from this statement is entirely disengenuous. Linus Torvalds has made many scatbing comments on various moves and changes in the Linux world and licensing. Where is yor disgust then. OSS devs have descibed as self seving glory seekers by those in the OSS community in regards to getting Linux and it's software to a place users can appreciate the support. Forgive me but this not fud, it's just plain prejudiced zealotry. Yep, another ad hominem attack so you don't have to bother answering to the real issues.
If every memo was released the entire world would be mad at each other. I'm not saying MS feels at all as this one person arrogantly described because I know they do not. A pawn is only good for a time anyway and MS continues to aide it's dev. community for decades now...unwavering support. Or have I had special treatment. I don't think so. No company on the face of the earth does more for it's devs.

AND this flies in the face of your claims that MS is TOO dev friendly from the start resulting in a system that is too open to problems therefore. You attack the sides you already attacked but with 180 degree different story. Nice for your creds.

This is nothing but a pile of crap.
