Hardly. Unlike other products I could mention, the Notes client runs on Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux desktops and on U3 USB-drives. The Domino server runs on Windows, AIX, AS-400, HP-UX, Linux etc. So there's lock-in to a particular operating system. People still using Windows 98 are more likely to be tied into old versions of MS's email products.

Which is partly why, not only is there ~110 million users of Notes, but the number is growing.
(IBM's revenue from Lotus Notes was up 30% last-quarter.)
