..I myself am dual-booting, and considering switching...

But you haven't and that there is the problem.
There is no killer app for Linux.
The article mentioned productivity suites as a possible conduit, but they all run on Windows.
No need to switch to Linux.

..Wine is increasing in quality all the time, running Windows programs on Linux is getting easier..

But for people who are currently running these apps on Windows it would be a step backwards.

The corporate desktop has some possibilities but there's lots of legacy data and apps that need to be ported (re-done). That's not only a huge cost but very disrupting.

Throw in additional support costs associated with switching your staff and next thing you know MS doesn't look so bad after all.

It will be evolutionary, not revolutionary.
