'If you can't afford Windows, you shouldn't be in business'?!
Wow. That's amazing. You want to stand by that?

So, let me get this straight: When you want to start a business, one of the tests should be: Can you afford to pay the Microsoft tax? Can you afford to buy Microsoft applications that do all the things you want to do?

Let's forget about Linux for a second -- let's say that Joe Smallbiz can afford to buy a cheap Windows PC. You're saying that he SHOULDN'T BE IN BUSINESS if he can't afford to buy Office. Interesting idea you have there....

Shift perspective: Let's look at Jane Freelancecoder, who doesn't own a Windows PC. She gets a gig where she's handed a chunk of a larger project J2EE that's managed using Project. So in addition to the expense of buying a Project license, she ought to be expected to buy an XP Pro license and incur the real and opportunity cost of setting up a development environment in Windows, because "If you can't buy the license for Windows, they you should NOT be in business."

OK, then!

So, plesae do let us know if you want to stand by that weird, anti-competetive idea of yours, so the rest of us can know to never take you seriously again....
