GMAIL here to stay

I currently have a GMAIL email account. (bigeye@gmail.com) THERE IS NOT A EMAIL ACCOUNT SERVICE ANYWHERE THAT WILL PROTECT YOUR PRIVACY. You should not send a email thinking that it cannot be intercepted. There are many malicious hackers breaking into email messages as I write this.

I have been selected through my blogspot account. (zagisis.blogspot.com)I believe the BETA program has only 1000 email account holders. So far I have no regrets. There has been no SPAM. The program has a few short comings. Its very plain and there is no great visual interface appeal. However it is fast and relies on mostly text not graphics to provide their free service. I will never ever use their 1000 megs of space. I can delete messages, however not permantly. But that's part of the benefit of using GMAIL.

Whether they like it or not GMAIL is here to stay. I don't think the politician who opposes this knows much about technology. Why don't you poll your community first.

Google has been very straight forward with their intentions, unlike other services that hid their actual plans. Like another reader wrote, "if you don't like it,don't sign up for it".
