I had a friend who worked for the California government. She said that politicians would regularly meet in the halls... "Do you have any good ideas for a bill I can introduce?" "My kids suggested that I bring this before the senate." "I'll back your bill if you back mine."

This is just another one of those things that will get her into the newspapers, laughed at, and her bill pushed out the door with the evening trash.

More proof that politicians aren't doing what we elected them to do.
