Bay Star must be looking over their shoulder
I suspect that Bay Star is getting nervious over several things. Key among them is that the involvement of Microsoft in the Bay Star "investment" in SCO is now public knowledge. This could easily open the last U.S. anti-trust suit against M$. It could be used as evidence of continued monopolistic practices. (I know this is a "duh" statement, but the court system uses evidence.)

The next question is just what does Bay Star think SCO owns, that is not in dispute, that could be used for licensure purposes? Even if they have anything, it is fairly old.

The response from SCO and they newest comment from Bay Star indicate that there is more going on behind the scenes of SCO, and it is not good for SCO. IBM, Daimler-Chrysler, Auto Zone, and Red Hat is expensive. It appears that SCO assummed IBM would just buy them out. Bad mistake. IBM and the others have cash, and can burn off what cash SCO has without much effort. Litigation of this nature is very expensive. SCO will be nothing but another grease spot in the history of computing.

I expect to see McBride on a infomercial saying you to can make money by buying companies with questionable patent rights and getting investors in the company and paying yourself a fortune while the company eventually tanks.

I suspect Bay Star will get to answer some questions they do not want to answer, in the near future.
