Might premature, don't you think?
After all, the Linux kernel developers had previously done the same thing. You really don't think this kind of spat is going to cause people to stop working on or using Linux, do you? Do you think that maybe it will cause a significant number of developers to admit their "mistakes" and embrace proprietary development wholeheartedly?

Sounds like the fantasy of certain pro-MS commentators whose pseudonyms I won't mention.
