I would say the reverse is true
If anything, open source projects are helped by the refusal to embrace the ridiculous GPLv3. I think there is a general realization that the anti-business fanaticism as shown by FSF is hindering the success of open source, not helping it. GPLv3 was the best piece of ammunition anyone could ever have given the anti-OSS movement. There is a struggle right now between those whose primary goal is to hurt businesses (FSF) and those who simply want open source projects to succeed. This move clearly identifies which camp MySQL belongs in and it helps all other OSS projects (like Linux) who are more concerned with their own success than with sabotaging the success of others.
