CA ousts Kumar as chief executive

CA in much bigger trouble than this distraction: "Despite the management turmoil, the company's technology and product strategy remain sound, analysts noted."

The analysts are dead wrong. While all of this distraction has been in the forefront, IBM has recently been AGGRESSIVELY displacing CA, BMC and Compuware in the ISV market. Seems that the ISV utility/management software greed was inhibiting growth of the mainframe environment. It's not nice to fool with Mother Nature. So IBM is just going to pound them through MAJOR cost cutting for similar (good-enough) products as well as low/no risk migration customer engagements.
These ISVs are going to start hemorrhaging revenue as IBM brings those guns to bear. This will become a perfect storm since the major enterprises are long-ready for "payback time" for CA and the gang and there won't be any way to finesse the transactions due to higher scrutiny. Great opportunity to short the gang. Candle simply gave up and sold out for half of what it was once worth.; Posted by: rograham1@...
