Open-source leader leaving Novell for Google
Who? Who the heck is he? Why should I care if this guy quits one company to go to another? People change jobs all the time, and this guy is no different from the millions of others that do it. Well he is different slightly in that he's going from bad to worse. It won't be long before Google has its first round of layoffs and guess who will be one of the first people to be cut? You will new guy. He must not have had a lot of skill considering how easily he was replaced. LOL!!

This is probably the worst move he could make for three reasons. Google is on edge of collapsing, and they will discontinue his project like they did with many other projects. Poor poor choice on his part. But if he wants to screw his career up thats his prerogative. Thirdly, he pretty much gave himself no chance at a new career. Once other companies see what a whiney little wimp he's been they won't want to hire him.

But Allison said the Novell-Microsoft deal violates the open-source principles of giving equal rights to all users of a particular program, even if it doesn't technically violate the General Public License (GPL) that governs Samba and the Linux kernel.

So he likes to make up the rule as he goes? Good luck with your future pal. I'm surprised Google even bothered to hire him considering his lack of understanding in the business world. Then again thats how Google operates too.

I feel it has nothing to do with Microsoft. This guy was just being a wimp.
