Time will tell its tale in this...
I've been around computers for a very long time now. It took MS over a decade to try to get it right. But they still haven't.

A few examples;
Commodore Amiga - At the time they had graphics that Windows could only dream of 5-6 yrs down the road (Ever heard of the "Video Toaster"?)

Mac's & DTP - Now here's another good one. WinTel is still playing catch up to be able to do the same job in DTP as the MAC. This has been going on for way over a decade, but they still can't get it right! Lets not forget about just the GUI. MAC & Amiga were doing it years before MS. And MS's 1st ver of windows was nothing more than a test based file manager). But hey, then they came out with Win 3.0, do I even need to mention what an unstable piece of crap that was?

Shall I go on???

Anyway, from the looks of things, compaired to MS's attempts to "Inovate" I would have to say that the Linux community with roll over them like an old slow moving steam roller. Very slow, but effective and gets the job done!
