ODF anyone??
Wasn't this kind of the point of the OpenDocument Format (ODF) in the first freakin' place? A NON-PROPRIETARY, OPEN format that will never be 'obsolete' because the implementation is an open and well documented standard that anyone, anywhere can implement at any time!

I mean, if Microsoft had opened the Word format in the first place, think of how accessible all those OLD Word docs from the early 90's would still be! Or if Novell had build WordPerfect with an open wpd format ... but they didn't, and these docs eventually fall into said black hole. I suppose ultimately there's always good ol' ASCII txt!!
