Waste of Money
The insurance is worthless because despite all the bluster SCO isn't going to sue rank and file Linux users. All a user would have to do is take a copy of SCO's GPL Linux licence and a copy of Novell's, show them to the judge and say "Both these companies say they own Linux, regardless of who wins I have a licence from them. Please dismiss the case and make SCO pay my costs". The two cases SCO have brought against users aren't based on basic use of Linux but around alleged violations of the Unix licences they have with SCO.
