eMac's are fairly cheep and you get OSX with it, brand new. Then there is the used/refurb market for G4 towers. If I were you I'd go with the G4 Tower refurb. The G4's come with cash memory that the eMac does not and it speeds up performance over all. Load either choice up with memory, and in the G4 tower's case perhaps an ATI Radeon 7000 or something. Also in the G4 tower's case you can get a video switch box and share the screen with you Linux PC.
