Trouble is...
To me, OOo looks and feels more like a Windows app than a
Macintosh app. (This is true of X-windows apps generally.) Apart
from being as ugly as Windows, you have to use the ctrl key for
everything, and the ctrl key is located in the worst possible
place. (I wish X-11 allowed you to swap the cmd and ctrl keys.)
Also, the text selection isn't as smart as it is in most native Mac
applications, and it has the same kludgy file dialogs as Windows.
Worst of all, you can't AppleScript X-apps. (Maybe they're shell
scriptable, but I haven't figured that out yet.) It doesn't have the
same annoying dialogs as M$ Office, or its annoying tendency of
second-guessing you and doing exactly what you didn't want it
to, but other than that, I feel more like I'm using Windows than
Mac OS X.
