...management is completely out of touch there. Ballmer clearly states that the turn-around on Windows Live will follow the same footpath as Windows (soon to be Vista). In an industry that flips every 2 years that seems like just plain bad business sense. If that is his future plans for Microsoft then the future indeed looks grim.

Even Michael Dell is admitting his erroneous ways and making changes - looking for a whole lot of "new blood" to replace the stagnant blood with. Sort of seems like Gates should have taken that position with Ballmer and some others. Having a lion's share of the market at present does not guarantee the future.
