IE6 Oct2003 Patch breaks multimedia
The <EMBED> tag in the original releases of IE6 works well with multimedia that is in other directories. However, if one installs the "Security Fixes" that Microsoft recommends, it breaks this support. I have contacted MS; they admitted to the problem; and they closed the problem report without further action. This is a significant problem - any time you include a multimedia in a directory that is not the same as the HTML file's or below it, the multimedia will NOT play (e.g. audio, flash, acrobat). Any time the <EMBED> tag contains SRC="../+file name"> the multimedia fails to load.

I wonder what products MS is targetting with this "bug"?
