- let's see . . .
-
1) AMD64 3200+, 1 GB RAM, GeForce 6800, 250+ GB harddrive space - yup. It's not top of the line, but it'll handle Vista's fancy graphics just fine.
2) Anything but the Basic edition will do. Ultimate I'd love, but it's way overpriced.
3) I'm not an enterprise, so not applicable.
4) I'll probably dual-boot at first, but I'm worried about some of my older games
.
5) I doubt anybody will have any issues, as both v4 and v6 will coesxist peacefully for a while. I doubt anybody is going to a pure v6 anytime soon - and as long as both protocols are in place and supported, there won't be any problems.
6) My parents will probably have XP until they buy new computers, as I suspect most consumers and businesses will. I will personally see if I can dual boot before deciding whether to switch.
7) I am, but most people I know will just get it with a new PC.
8) I'm a student, not a business, so this is N/A.
9) I've got my data backed up on a separate harddrive, yes.
10) Most of this stuff is business stuff, so mostly N/A. I do have to test my applications for compatibility, though.
I think I'm ready
