He did but you filtered it out. In his opinion there would be less hassle in moving to Vista. I think he's wrong in this because if Vista "upgrades" like previous Windows versions then your data should survive the upgrade and be found where you left it. With a Linux upgrade it will repartition the disc meaning you need to reload your data.

Where he is right is that Ubuntu's licencing is a *lot* simpler.
