Don't worry, it will run on Linux
There is absolutely nothing that would prevent someone from writing a browser plug-in that works on Linux. MSFT may even do it themselves but given the small number of PC's running Linux they may leave it up to someone else. WPF/e is entirely standards-based - XML and Javascript.
