Torvalds and Tridgell
The likes of Torvalds and Andreww Tridgell will stand to gain i would expect ALOT of money UPFRONT, because of the value of the code copyrighted to them. Its a great incentive to change to COSS, if they know they can provide for their familty and children, their children WELL for a LONG TIME.

i can see it being publicly listed on the stock exchanges, so if your project look like a possible success, you may get invester willing to pay top programmers to get it right, and finished.

its a great reason to work on being an UBER programmer.

The perfect job is where you get paid for doing your hobby.
