And while we're on the subject of news...
And while we're at it, why don't you tackle this (admittedly in need of updating) list of switchers and proposed switchers:

I'd especially like your opinion on this one (Belgium) who won't even consider Microsoft's format until they cross the high hurdle of ISO standardization:

http://news.com.com/2100-7344_3-6087275.html

"From September 2007 on, all (Belgian) federal government departments should be able to read ODF documents, and in September 2008 ODF will be the only accepted document format for exchange between departments."

Germany, is not just Munich:
"Nationwide more than 50,000 government seats have been migrated to OpenOffice.org or StarOffice, both of which support the OpenDocument standard. Government bodies involved include the Regional Tax Offices for Lower Saxony and Baden-Wurttemberg, Police of Lower Saxony, and the cities of Treuchtlingen, Munich, Swaebisch Hall, Leonberg, and Isernhagen."

Want to still claim it's all a failure and you're completely correct Anton? Go ahead, but anyone who reads that first cited page and all the relevant links knows that you screwed on your blinders too tightly.

Or maybe, you just don't read as much news as you thought you did?
