um... someone did come up with it. Microsoft did that's the whole reason that they are being sued. They came up with something that did the same thing as what was on the eola patent, if they hadn't there would be no lawsuit in the first place. And to those anti-microsoft people out there(im one of them btw) there is zero evidence to support that microsoft stole the idea. sorry.
