Does this mean that after UAP popping up and telling the user that the email they are about to read is asking for administrator privileges, the virus was able to spread?

I guess I should reproduce the study? :-D I don't know, they didn't say, you don't know, and if they incorrectly or maliciously lied in their report, don't you think MS would have at least asked for a retraction? Maybe no one as MS saw it. That is all beside the point.

All the rest of your post, I didn't say it would be extinct, the link did say it would not be. Can you please enlighten all reading this, per your expertise,

What security measures are required for Vista? Which anti-virus and anti-malware systems are currently recommended and required? As Joe Average, coming directly to YOU, tell us all, what EXACTLY is required. What threats are out there, how secure is it, EXACTLY.

Can you answer all those, today? now? Can MS provide all these answers today? Now?

If the answer is no to ANY of them, LET SOMEONE ELSE TAKE THE RISK AND BE THE BAIT

I honestly don't care about the how/when/where and what mechanism anyone did to secure anything. The question is, how secure is it, and what EFFECTIVE tools are there to secure it.

Does anyone have links or data showing that any 3rd party Anti-Virus is actually effective in Vista without the low level access?

P.S. MS's answer would be whatever was required to make the sale, but you, since I know you are security minded, if you were delivering a system to your sister for all her online banking, sales, etc, would you configure her with an XP system you KNOW how to lock down, or try your best and hope for the best with Vista today?
