Your Software Stinks??
Since I register all the software I find useful so as not to put up with ad's or anything else annoying, I find Real's media software to be the best available for handling all media types. There is no spyware or adware on my PC according to SpyBot and a couple others I've run just to check. I believe it's because I only use the registered versions of products (and most state you will not receive ad's, etc. if you register).

I use Real to convert all my new CD's to MP3 right away so I don't have to mess with the CD's (and I might add, recording at 21x is better than any other's I've tried). MusicMatch is a nice player (also registered), but is too complex for organising your music easily, and takes too long getting to where it left off in your music list. Creative's media player is terrible, as is Microsoft's. I use iTunes and find it to be the simplest, error-free music player for times I'm doing things around the house and just letting the PC crank out music loudly. WinAmp, MusicMatch and a few others seem to think we want modular pieces...as if we sit and watch our PC play the music. But for overall simplicity of just clicking to play any media format out there or burning to CD, RealPlayer does it all.
