---your software stinks---

It's not just that. There are lots of companies with lousy
software that are successful. As I see it, they have two
additional problems:

1) their software is actively annoying. On the Mac,it's always
been fairly neutral, but from what I'm told, the spyware and
adware on Windows has been insanely over the top. Pissing off
customers is never a good business move (take note RIAA).

2) they're all over the place. Instead of focusing on one thing
and doing it well, the company never seems to have decided
what their business is.
