Can't tell if this was supposed to be a joke?

You never explained where this implication came from, not even with a joke. (Unless that WAS the joke.)

Anyway, you need to end these with something like the "sipping cognac quietly with my rep" stuff that Mike uses. Your's fall flat, at the end especially.
