Assumption about IBM
the last sentence in the article reads:

According to those predictions, Microsoft will account for two-thirds of that [total spent], while IBM will see its revenue decline even as the market grows.


IBM has the resources to compete. So this statement implies that IBM will be unsuccessful with improvement to Notes. Or that there will be no improvement at all.

Does this in turn imply that IBM has lost interest in Notes? Is it possible that IBM is triaging its software profitability and following an identifiable set of priorities for which software will receive investment and continue to be offered by IBM?
