What a myopic and ridiculous statement.

The people who would want to run another office suite are those who are sick of the bugs that have been there since, for example, Word version 2.0. I have used Word since 2.0 and it still has basic bugs that were never fixed. Meanwhile, they spend their development time adding features like "Clippy" the help mate. Ugh.

Now I use OpenOffice. It's free and and can easily save out to and read Word/Excel/PowerPoint when I want to exchange files with the less-enlightened.

Another ridiculous statement. That's as bad as MicroSoft trademarking the common word "Windows".

You really need to get out more and see what other great products exist besides those made by Micro$oft, and also realize they did not invent most of the technologies they take advantage of. Unless, of course, you simply want to remain an annuity stream slave to the corporate giant.
