Hey, whatever works.
Our company, like many others, have standardized on MS Office as it does do more then just typing simple letters or speadsheets. We have even intigrated Word and Excel into our web based software for creating certain reports at our remote locations. We use Acces to port out reports in the office from our SQL server. Lot of power in the program if you need to use it.
If you get the version with Access, the posibilities really open up. If you need it.

Office 2003 now has Basic version with the 3 most widely used apps: Word, Excel, and Outlook for around 149.00. Once again, lot of power there if you need it.

If not, then other Office suites will do just fine for you.

So why all the complaining all the time?

Oh. You have to register it now. No more "One Copy fits multiple machines" anymore...
