After selecting one of the computer systems in the TigerDirect No-OS section, I scrolled down to take a look and found this:
"Why does this system come without an operating system?"

When you click on "clicking here" on the last line above, it takes you to a list of OSs which includes... wait for it... several distros of Linux like Xandros, Linspire, and SuSE.
Your challenge was, and I quote:
If not Dell, list a few others (including yours) and I will call and see if they will sell me a computer without Windows.
...
I will call your PC company and fail miserably to be able to purchase a desktop system without "XP recommended".
