Microsoft extends life of its Java Virtual Machine

Java is to split soon: It's pretty obvious to me that Java will split into two main camps pretty soon.
One will be Sun with Microsoft friendly classes, probably including .Net.

The other will be gcj and the free classes (Classpath), and I imagine, IBM and Apache.

This has been coming for a while (think tomcat etc).
