I'm surprised that you don't see the truth...
If Linux is defeated by software patents, the businesses will move to the next most inexpensive solution, which would be... wait for it... BSD. There will then be a large influx into BSD and BSD will become the new threat to the software patent holders. Therefore I feel quite justified in saying you are the next target. The copyright case brought against and early BSD does not protect you from a patent case now or later. Once you become a threat you can expect them.

Is your hatred for Linux and the GPL so great Loverock that you cannot see that both are shielding BSD OS's by being the top target? That unless Linux fends off the software patent tyranny, your beloved BSD will be next.

You explained nothing Loverock. You told one fib about a copyright case protecting BSD from a future patent case. I've presented the danger to your beloved BSD in simple paragraphs so you can understand them.

You should give up your emotional response Loverock, at least insofar as to protect the BSD you claim to support from patents by supporting those who, if they win, will protect you from being the next target. It's in your best interest. I feel sympathy for you if you don't see the possibilities Loverock.

He who does not look to the future will be ambushed by it.
