I think M$ Pigs are Flying; Office Live runs on Linux
If you watch the muzzling of Microsoft officers, staring with Ballmer, following that Alchine and now Smith, there is evidence that Microsoft itself is now a Linux shop and that Ozzie et al have taken over.

Web developers now use Firefox as the browser for development and I have already confirmed with Microsoft developers that they switched over to Firefox for that work already. Many developers also prefer Linux because of the open source tools available in that environment. So once the Microsoft employee moves to Firefox it is a short hop to Linux.

The Novell news two weeks ago was just such a jolt. It effectively confirmed that Microsoft is a Linux shop. She no longer eats her own dog poo but rather eats what makes sense.

It makes sense that Office Live runs on a Linux or Unix box after being converted to mono because that way significant security issues are resolved as well as significant performance issues related to single processor coding.

There is nothing None Discloser Agreement involving the confirmation about Office Live, given that Novell and Microsoft are now officially peas in the same pod. Come on someone. Tell this community what is going on with Office Live. What platform is it running on.

Possibilities

- mono conversion and Unix/Linux flavor
- Linux under Windows but still C# or .Net code
- Pure Microsoft OS and code; nothing non Microsoft

Really would like to find truth here. Any help greatly appreciated.
