I hope they reconsider ...
.. and continue developing their excellent tools. Unfortunately we are now inundated by low quality OSS tools including the biggest crap ever: Eclipse, a slow system with low support for other languages that are not Java. I know there are add ins (or whatever are that crap called), but it is still light years behind the Borland tools (C++ Builder, Delphi, JBuilder). OSS lowered the bar on quality for development **tools** (I am not talking about languages/compilers). It's a pity that Kylix died bcos of lack of demand and bad marketing by Borland, which proves that it is inviable to offer something top quality to the OSS crowd (and yes, I use kdevelop which at least is not that stinking crap that Eclipse is, but it is still behind any tool created by Borland nowadays)
